May 1, 1956. Two brothers from Hidalgo, Arturo and Gustavo MartínezMcNaught, leave their birthplace Pachuca equipped with two used racing bicycles, 100 dollars, 7 kilos of equipment and an iron will to cross the continent on two wheels. After the passage of 82 days, 5,600 kilometres and 14 tires, they arrive at the city of Toronto, Canada.
One-half century later, Arturo and Gustavo, now in their seventies, will retrace their path.
The brothers will be accompanied by a small documentary crew, two young cyclists and the iron will to make a film.
A film about an extraordinary feat.
A film about two young men impelled by a dream.
A film about those two young men, 53 years later.
A film about memory.
A film about changes in geography, societies and men.
The two brothers are our principal protagonists, as well our narrating guides, but the real protagonist of this story is time. Or more accurately, the passage of time: the traces it leaves on our faces, our landscapes and lives.
